OFR’s experience is vast and varied, including work on sporting arenas such as Aston Villa’s football club, Villa Park, commercial properties, such as Rutland Mills in Wakefield, and historic structures such as The National Gallery and the former Saville Theatre, a grade II listed building.
With a rapidly expanding healthcare portfolio, OFR support many existing healthcare estates and have worked on several new, significant healthcare projects including University Hospitals Dorset’s BEACH Building, a £200m maternity hospital and Cambridge Children’s Hospital, a state-of-the-art hospital that houses mental and
physical health services alongside biomedical research facilities.
Internationally, OFR have worked on several large-scale projects including a significant project for the British Antarctic Survey, where they were partnered with Ramboll as Technical Advisors. OFR’s role relates specifically to advising on fire safety matters for asset production, life safety and regulatory compliance.
Recent growth has seen OFR continue to build on its globally established reputation, advancing its journey to Net Zero. With a focus on social value, OFR have embarked upon a Carbon Balancing journey with the World Land Trust, off-setting 75.29 tonnes of carbon emissions in 2024. In addition to this, OFR have contributed over 400 hours of voluntary work to local communities, via their unique ‘Better Days’ volunteering initiative.
In 2025, OFR were recognised as a ‘World Class’ organisation to work for, being awarded a 3-star accreditation from Best Companies, a leading employee engagement specialist.
